Working Together
Accounts and Custody
Accounts are held in your name at Altruist Financial LLC, our custodian. Altruist exclusively serves registered investment advisors and their clients. I have authority to make investment decisions on your behalf, but your assets remain in accounts held at Altruist. Statements, account information, and fee invoices are available directly through Altruist’s website or phone app.
Customization
Each client’s account is held separately, so investments can be individually tailored. Specific ethical values or preferences regarding your holdings can generally be accommodated in portfolio construction.
Planning Services
An investment strategy needs to account for your personal circumstances, tax status, and future goals. Clients receive an Investment Policy Statement outlining the objectives and approach, so we’re on the same page as we manage your portfolio.
Day-to-day planning, such as budgeting and cash management, is generally left to you. I’m happy to discuss other financial questions as they come up, but a comprehensive financial plan is not part of the standard investment management service. If you’d like a comprehensive written plan, my hourly consulting rate applies.
Bormann Wealth Management does not provide tax or legal advice, and does not sell insurance policies.
Communication
Clients receive a quarterly investor letter covering portfolio updates and our overall positioning in the market.
If you have questions, expect a quick reply by email (within one business day is the goal), or book a video call at your convenience. Annual review meetings are encouraged, with more frequent check-ins if you prefer.
Account Size and Fit
There is no formal account minimum. I welcome clients who have substantial assets to invest, as well as those who are building wealth through regular contributions.
What matters most is a long-term commitment to our investment approach.
Location
Bormann Wealth Management, LLC is a registered investment adviser headquartered in Washington State. I also serve clients in other states, subject to applicable registration requirements. Clients must be U.S. citizens or residents.
Getting Started
The first step is a 30-minute introductory meeting by video call. You describe what you’re looking for, I’ll explain how I manage portfolios and answer any questions you have about my practice. Then we can each decide whether the fit is right. There is no cost or obligation.
If you’d like to talk, you can schedule an introductory meeting at a time that suits you.
